Cairo: A Family’s First Glimpse
Our arrival in Cairo was a whirlwind. The children pressed their noses against the taxi window, wide‑eyed at the endless stream of cars, markets, and minarets. Visiting the Pyramids of Giza together was surreal — my daughter whispered, “They look like they touch the sky.” For me, it was a moment of awe, watching my family stand before monuments that had endured for thousands of years.
Luxor: Walking Through History
Luxor was where the past truly came alive. We wandered through Karnak Temple, the children darting between colossal columns while I tried to imagine the ceremonies that once filled the space. At the Valley of the Kings, we held hands as we descended into tombs painted with vibrant hieroglyphs. It was humbling to share this with my family — history not just read in books, but experienced together.
Hurghada: Joy by the Sea
After days of temples and tombs, Hurghada offered us a different kind of wonder. The Red Sea was a playground of color. My son, snorkelling for the first time, surfaced with a grin that said it all. We laughed, splashed, and let the sea wash away the dust of ancient stones. Egypt, we realized, was not only about history but also about joy in the present moment.
Travelling as a family changes everything. Egypt was not just my first time — it was our first time. Together we discovered that adventure is sweeter when shared, and that the memories we carried home were more precious than souvenirs.
